Christmas Ornament Shower November 25 2013

I should look into being a professional shower/party hostess. Lord knows I've got a lengthy resumè of showers and parties I've hosted, co-hosted or ended up helping out in a pinch!

Don't be fooled though, I love it. I love entertaining and planning the event, every detail of it. But shhh… I really don't want the word to get out. ;)

This past weekend we threw a shower for my nephew who is tying the knot with his lovely bride in January. The theme of this particular shower, since we're so close to Christmas, was an ornament shower. I love the idea of friends and family giving ornaments for the newlyweds to remember them by each year at Christmas.

Of course I volunteered to handle the invites. I absolutely LOVE how they came out and I think Kaitlyn really liked them as well (BONUS!).

I included a small card with the invites asking the guests to bring an ornament. I sealed them into a lovely ivory envelope with a beautiful contour flap!

My sister-in-law, who is a retired teacher, makes the most beautiful flower arrangements. She created a bouquet of hydrangeas and roses for the sign in table, as well as little arrangements for each table and tied rosemary sprigs on the napkins.

I also created tags to tie on the ornament so they would know who it was from. Although some ornaments came wrapped, we did get to hang quite a few on the tree!

After the delicious food was served, we danced and mingled to celebrate the happy couple! It was another successful shower for the record books!

While you're here, don't forget to place your Christmas card orders asap! Last day to place your custom order is December 1 and last day for any design from the collection is December 6! Shoot me an email if you would like more details or have questions!
